This re-release of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance will be playable in HD, giving players the option to run the title in 4K. However, there will be some differences, although they’re all visual. The version of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance coming to PC later this year is a re-release. Players looking forward to visiting this 20-year-old adventure shouldn’t expect anything new. The isometric RPG game follows three adventurers as they traverse through the Forgotten Realms, a campaign setting in Dungeons & Dragons. Developed by Snowblind Studios, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance was later ported to the GameBoy Advance and Gamecube. The game originally released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Baldur’s Gate: Dark Allianceis getting a re-release this year and will be playable for the first time on PCs. In an out-of-left-field announcement, Interplay and Wizards of the Coast revivified a classic entry in the Baldur’s Gate franchise.
